Why Your Mind Gets Loud at Night explains what's happening in your nervous system.

The Cohesive Sleep System: 7 Days to Rewire Your Sleep helps you change it.

It's a 7-day clinician-guided program that pairs polyvagal regulation tools with clinical hypnosis to help your nervous system re-learn rest.

Each night builds on the last. You don't figure out what to do. You follow the sequence and let your body have the experience.

The core program includes guided resonance breathing with video animation so you don't have to think — just follow. Audio education on how your nervous system works, why it stays on guard, and why none of this is your fault, a 60-minute clinical sleep hypnosis recording with rain sounds and binaural beats, designed to carry you from settling into sleep. A bedtime safety recording that helps your body associate your bed with protection instead of effort. And a self-compassion recording and practice for the nights when the inner critic gets louder than everything else.

Higher tiers add The Quiet Mind Sleep Journal — a polyvagal and parts-work journal that supports your process during the day, not just at night and daytime regulation audios for the moments when stress builds long before you get to bed.

Along with 8-hour sleep-through tracks in three sound environments — water sounds, brown noise, or music with binaural beats — for when you fall asleep just fine but wake at 3 AM.

For those who want direct, ongoing guidance, there's The Cohesive Sleepers Circle.

It's a community and monthly online session where Elizabeth leads a live hypnosis experience, answers questions directly, and offers the kind of support that turns a one-week program into lasting change.

It's the only way to access her expertise outside of her private practice — which has been full for years.

Start with a 3-day free trial. Launching mid-June.

Keep an eye on your email for when the course opens!

About the Author

Elizabeth Carter (MSc, NCC, LCMHC) is a licensed clinical mental health counselor, certified clinical hypnotherapist through the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and the founder of Cohesion: Hypnosis for Transformation.

She has been in private practice for over seven years — working with clients navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, sleep disturbance, and the weight of high-pressure lives.

For the past five years, she has also worked with Paracelsus Recovery — an exclusive mental health clinic in Zürich, Switzerland, specializing in UHNW individuals, CEO burnout, complex trauma, and addiction recovery.

Her approach is integrative and trauma-informed — grounded in polyvagal theory, Internal Family Systems, somatic practices, and Ericksonian clinical hypnosis.

She works from one core principle: sleep difficulties are rarely about the mind doing something wrong. They're about a nervous system that hasn't yet received enough signals to let go.

The Cohesive Sleep System is built from the same clinical framework she uses with her private clients — adapted into a structured, self-guided program so that the tools aren't limited to the therapy room.
